What about a clothes line that is not visible from the street? Or shed that isn’t visible from the street? Also, parking cars on blocks while working on them?

I think it would be a good idea to allow all Tamaron home owners in all units to have small utility sheds. It comes down to a safety issue in the end. Not allowing homeowners to have utility sheds forces them to store gasoline for lawnmowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and generators during hurricane season inside the garage. If your handy and do some of your home maintenance add to that paint thinners and strippers and so on. Most of these things are highly flammable with obnoxious odors and can deplete oxygen in the air if spilled in enclosed areas. One mistake, one accident and lives can be lost and property damage to the host dwelling as well as a neighboring properties. I would like to see a low roof line or height limit of some kind. Maybe even inside back yard fences to minimize the effect on the neighbors. It should be easy to do. They also have some designs that are more like wide cabinets that fit up against the house under the eve, which might negate the possible offense to a neighbor without having to have a fence. Good for gardening tools and such, still not good place to store gasoline... Regards, Bill

********************* SELECTIVE ENFORCMENT************************* SO ACCORDING TO THE PAST BY LAWS AND COVENANTS WHICH WE HAVE READ THROUGH ABOUT SHEDS. IT SAYS UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE THAT SHEDS ARE TO BE ERRECTED FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN IF YOU ARE A CONTRACTOR. THAT MEANS NO ONE PAST OR PRESENT IS ALLOWED TO PUT UP A UTILITY SHED FOR STORAGE. SO WE CONTACTED THE CURRENT HOA PRESIDENT ABOUT GETTING PERMISSION TO PUT UP A UTILITY SHED. WE SPOKE IN LENGTH ABOUT THIS ON THE PHONE AND THE OUTCOME WAS NOT FAVORABLE TO ALLOW US TO PUT UP A SHED. ACCORDING TO THE PRESIDENT AND THE BY LAWS WE CANNOT. WE HAD MENTIONED THAT WE HAVE SEEN SHEDS IN BACK YARDS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY MUST HAVE BEEN GRANDFATHERED IN. SO WE HAVE READ THE PAST BY LAWS FROM (1978-1979) AND CURRENT BY LAWS AND THE REVISIONS AND DID NOT SEE ANY GRANDFATHER CLAUSES OR GIVING ANYONE PERMISSION TOO PUT UP A SHED. SO IN REALITY THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY SHEDS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IF WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PUT UP SHEDS THEN WHY DO WE SEE THEM UP IN PEOPLES BACK YARDS AND ON THE SIDES OF SOME HOUSES. WE DROVE AROUND AROUND 1/4 OF TAMARON AND COUNTED AT LEAST 5 SHEDS AND SOME YOU CAN SEE FROM BAHIA VISTA RD AND MCINTOSH RD. WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CHANGE TO THE RESTRCITIONS ALSO. CLEARLY THERE ARE HOMEOWNERS IN TAMARON THAT HAVE PUT UP SHEDS AND BY NOT ALLOWING ANYONE ELSE TO ERRECT ONE IS CALLED SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT. WHY IS IT OK FOR SOME HOMEOWNERS AND NOT OTHERS?

You are correct there are a lot of sheds in the tamaron community. I have no idea when the sheds were built. Some of the sheds were built between when it was realized that the deed restrictions had not been preserved and Feb 27 2020 when they were revitalized. As of the Feb 27 2020 the HOA as been advised that with the current deed restrictions we do not have the right to grant exceptions to the deed restrictions. The current HOA board can not control or change what has happened in the past, but moving forward we are going to be enforcing fairly and consistently to all homeowners.
